At Northfield St Nicholas Primary Academy we believe that it is important for our children to develop skills during their time with us which will help them to become well rounded citizens who are ready for the next stage of their education and for later life. By supporting children’s social development we aim to enable them to engage with others, to develop understanding of their communities and society, and provide them with opportunities to be responsible and active citizens. We achieve this in a number of ways:

  • Pupil Parliament
  • Head pupils and ambassador roles for pupils in Year 6
  • Play Leader roles for older pupils
  • Classroom responsibilities for children in all year groups
  • Restorative Practice approaches
  • Our Learning Behaviours
  • Our bespoke ASUPERHERO curriculum
  • Eco Club
  • Our Behaviour systems and expectations
  • Inclusion and Diversity
